Community Action Bradford & District is a new charity formed from the merger of Bradford CVS, Keighley & Ilkley Voluntary and Community Action, and Shipley & Bingley Voluntary Services in April 2017.

Local charity; hires out 16 and 11 seat minibuses to community groups in the LS29 area. All three buses are fully accessible, fitted with passenger lifts and can be used by wheelchair passengers. Volunteer drivers may be available, please enquire when booking. MiDAS driver training is available.

Hanover Gardens in Burley-in-Wharfedale is a development of 16 apartments and 15 bungalows with shared gardens, access to a 24 hour alarm call system and private car parking facilities. Ilkley and District Good Neighbours aims to alleviate loneliness and support older and vulnerable people living independently in the Ilkley district. Activities include a befriending scheme (Good Neighbours Befriending), social events (excursions, panto trip), a gardening decorating and small home maintenance scheme (Home and Garden Assist), an assisted shopping scheme (ShopAssist), an annual over 90s party and distribution of Christmas parcels. A regular social group meets at Clarke Foley Centre on Thursdays 10.30-12.00 (Moving On).
