We are responsible for all the above assets and we also help fund the annual drainage maintenance at Scalebor Park playing field. We also maintain the tubs around the War Memorial and the Fountain of Life area at the bottom of Station Road.
Our recent achievements include provision of significant funding for the new playground equipment and zip wire in Grange Park, refurbishment of the Roundhouse Garden, co-ordinating the provision of 10 new benches in the park and other areas in and around the village. We have also assisted with funding the completion of the new Scout and Guide HQ, training fees for Unique (supporting childrens well being in schools), Love Burley, Walkers are Welcome, Herb and Vegetable Gardens for the Community, Compost Bins in the Park and on the Village Green. We are also the main financial supprt for the Wharfedale Wombles who have made a significant impact on the village with their litter picking.
We are currently trying to improve footpath access around the village especially for wheelchair and pushchair users and we are still working on the provision of large scale information boards of the village for residents and visitors.
Our Annual Duck Race, with Teas in the Park (part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations) is on Sunday 5th June at 2pm and supports funding for the Trust and Scouts and Guides.
In conjunction with Burley Parish Council we also organise the Hanging Baskets and Tubs and the Christmas Lights, Christmas Market and Craft Fair (November 26th 2022).
